Individual Applications

Our approach

We have experience of dealing with a wide range of applications, from Certificates of Approval, EEA Treaty, Accession State Nationals, Nationality, Highly Skilled Migrant and Points Systems (which replaced the HSMP and Work Permit schemes), including Tiers 4 and 5, Spouse and Civil partnership dependents, Appeals and Immigration Bail, and are authorised and regulated to do all areas of Immigration other than asylum cases.

Rather than providing a "menu" of "off the shelf" solutions, we work with our clients to determine what their end goals are, and to consider all the possible options.

Alina Dyer is an experienced litigator at both the First-Tier Tribunal (Immigration and Asylum Chamber) and the Upper Tribunal, where she has right of audience.

Our Procedure

We take the following steps

Telling it, as it is

There is a trend in immigration advisers to attempt to make out in their promotions that all matters either have a "single price", that they can offer "no-win-no-fee" or that they can do "absolutely everything".

In our mind, it is better to be utmost straight with clients.
We base our fees on the length of time taken, and nature of the service.

We do not offer a No-Win-No-Fee service.  The reasons are simple.
  1. Fixed charges on a "No-Win-No-Fee" basis encourage providers to practice under the 80/20 rule, always accepting work, taking the fee, and then doing as little work as is possible to get the maximum return.

  2. In our experience, "No-Win-No-Fee" terms can be easily abused by providers, through the use of get out clauses.  It is rare for a client to remember to provide all the information to their adviser, and as such most "No-Win-No-Fee" terms are void.
We believe that it is substantially better for our clients to be upfront, and have charges directly related to the amount of work actually involved in getting a result.

Our experience is that our fees for complex applications are similar to the fixed charges charged by other providers, and for less complex applications can be substantially less.

Applications we do not specialise in

We do not currently deal with Asylum cases.

Our corporate "external" visa service, providing visa assistance for those travelling from the UK to other countries tends not to be cost effective for individuals looking to make applications for a Schengen Visa.

We do not offer "legal aid", however do take a very limited number of pro-bono cases, where the circumstances are appropriate, and where we have the ability to effectively represent them.  If you have a meritorious case, however lack the funding to be able to pursue it, please write to us, in the first instance, explaining the situation and your financial circumstances.
